WANT.

I'm about to be a huge hypocrit right now, but I don't care. You see, I always complain about how Vivienne Westwood has become trashy and overdone and that tartan annoys me simply because it's on the back of every student in East London BUT I want this bag. Sorry.

Karl sends Chanel into space.

It's safe to say that it's almost inevitable that Lagerfeld will impress, but the set for the unveiling of the new couture Chanel collection in Paris was out of this world. (Excuse the pun.) On a set that was laid out to look like a futuristic space ship and quite frankly what I imagine the inside of Richard Branson's luxury rocket to look like, the models paraded down the catwalk wearing amazing sculptured outfits all as blue as the open sky. Lagerfeld joked that this was his 'blue period'. The clothes were adorned with beads and crystals and some of the dresses were severely short, but I love a bit of leg.

I must admit though, I'm not big on the floral accessories and embroidery but I'll let it slip, because it practically ticks all the other boxes.

1992

This year was a very good year for the world and not just because I was born. It wasn't very good for fashion , unless you count blonde dreadlocks and wearing baggy jeans down to your ankles a good thing. No,  it was a good year for music. For some reason I had the urge to look up what song was number one when I was born. It was 'Save the Best for Last' by Vanessa Williams, who is an ultimate BABE.

The rest of the years chart toppers weren't all that bad either:
'Black or White' by the man himself, Michael Jackson
'Don't let the Sun go down on Me' by George Michael and Sir Elton John
'Jump' by Kris Kross
'I'll be There' by Mariah Carey
'Baby Got Back' by Sir Mix-a-Lot
'End of the Road' by Boyz II Men
and finally 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney

What a year.

Two Weeks Into January.

It's almost half way through January and I've only just realised I've made no NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS! So I had a good, hard, long about who I want to be at the end of 2012 and the habits I want to get shot of. So, here's what I came up with:

1. The obvious; QUIT SMOKING.
2. Get back down to a size 8.
3. I want to be more positive.
4. Take more care in my appearance, first impressions really count.
5. Make this blog amazing!
6. Be more creative.
7. Be more spontaneous.
8. Be nicer to the people I care about.
9. Be ruder to the people I don't. (Thanks Emily)
10. FINALLY find a hairstyle/colour I'm going to stick with for longer than a month.

I'll keep you updated on how they go.

Jewellery.

Right now, I am ALL about accessorising! I love silver, I think it suits me better than gold, so I was very happy when I found these little beauties (well, the cuff was a gift from my LOVELY house-mate) but I treated myself to the double ring and ear rings.

The snake cuff is from Topshop.
The cross dangle ear rings and double ring are both from Miss Selfridge.
(However the ring originally had two chains).

Love a Bargain.

Soon enough it's going to seem like all I do is shop in Primark but I don't (I swear). I just tend to pick up a few bits every now again because I'm a sucker for a bargain. I mean come on, I'm a student - a fashion student which means I'm shallow and love materialistic things but can't afford them. SO... you can imagine how happy I was to see these puppies staring back at me and with a price tag that read 'NOW £17', I was not about to turn my back on them.

ENJOY.
